This document offers guidelines, templates and suggestions in project development and implementation for individuals and organisations within the K2C to support and assist successful implementation within the region.  It offers various planning tools and templates that can be freely used.


DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES

This document offers detailed guidelines for development within the 3 zones of the K2C and the various requirements for the use of resources within each of the 3 zones (Core, Buffer and Transition Zones).

BIO-CULTURAL PROTOCOL DOCUMENT

This document is a bio-cultural protocol developed in conjunction with the Traditional Health Practitioners of Bushbuckridge in 2009-2010.  It is written in 3 languages (English, Shangaan and Pedi) and outlines their roles in the community, challenges they face as well as their rights according to the protection of their Traditional Knowledge (TK)

This document has been produced on the process involved in the development of the Bio-cultural Protocol and is for the benefit of replication of this project - either in different regions within K2C or different beneficiary groups, or alternatively for different organisations within South Africa.

This document has been drawn up to benefit and assist community members who are offered travel opportunities to attend educational conferences, workshops, courses, seminars etc.   On many occasions.  This document can be freely used, distributed and adopted as required.


ROAD SIGNAGE WORKSHOP REPORT

A report from the K2C Road Signage workshop held in July 2007 to deal with the many illegal and “out of control” sign boards along the roads.


GENERIC PROJECT PARTNERSHIP MoA

Any project done in partnership. Conjunction with the K2C, will require the signing of a mutual Memorandum of Agreement that will clearly outline each parties roles and responsibilities as well as expectations within the project.   This document is a generic version that will be adapted for each individual project scenario.


PROJECT VIABILITY

For a project to be accepted by K2C for partnership, endorsement or support, a number of criteria ore required to be fulfilled.   This document can also be used by projects within the K2C region to ensure that the work being implemented falls within the Biosphere principles as outlined by UNESCO in the MaB programme.
